Port of Geelong Emergency Management Plan

The Port of Geelong is the largest regional port in Victoria handling some 11 million tonnes of mainly bulk cargoes and accommodating over 500 ship visits each year. GeelongPort is responsible for 14 commercial shipping berths in the port.

The Victorian Regional Channels Authority is responsible for regional shipping channels and manages the commercial navigation channels in the port waters of Geelong.

GeelongPort in conjunction with the Victorian Regional Channels Authority have revised the Port of Geelong Emergency Management Plan in order to identify arrangements to mitigate, prepare for and manage the response to and recovery from emergencies which may impact upon the Port of Geelong.
